New Gloucester Transfer Station

 

NOTICE

TRANSFER STATION NOTICE

To comply with Maine Department of Environmental regulations, the Town of New Gloucester Transfer Station will implement the following changes effective June 1, 2026:

  • Brush of any size will no longer be accepted.
    Clean brush may be taken, free of charge, to Oldcastle Lawn and Garden, 481 Spring Water Road, Poland.
  • Home ash will no longer be accepted.

With the exception of brush, all wood must be disposed of in the designated demolition containers.


New Gloucester Transfer Station Stickers
 Stickers are $10.00 and expire June 30, 2026 
 New Gloucester residents and property owners must have an annual permit sticker for each vehicle used to dispose of  your trash (recyclables and bulky).
 
 
Stickers are available at the Town Office
 
 These stickers are not available to commercial haulers; they are for residential users only. Commercial haulers shall continue to dispose of bulky items at the Mid-Maine Waste Action Corporation (MMWAC) in Auburn.
