Environmental Resources Committee
The mission of the New Gloucester Environmental Resources Committee is to promote the protection, conservation, and responsible use of the town's natural resources. The committee collaborates on regional environmental efforts, supports local sustainability initiatives, and provides guidance on issues such as land use, water quality, and energy efficiency. The committee initiates community projects and events, invites speakers on environmental topics, and offers public education to foster awareness and encourage participation in environmental stewardship. The committee will consist of seven at-large members, one Select Board Liaison and a staff member.
