PRESS RELEASE

 

The New Gloucester Select Board is pleased to announce they have completed their Town Manager search.  After reviewing over twenty resumes and conducting numerous interviews the board enthusiastically reports that Mr. William P. Doyle of Saco, Maine has accepted the position.

 

Mr. Doyle has served as both a City Councilor and City Mayor for the City of Saco from 2015 to 2023.  Mr. Doyle most recently served as the Executive Director for Organization of the National Corrections Employees Union (NCEU).

 

Mr. Doyle holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies.  Mr. Doyle brings extensive experience in municipal budgeting, zoning, long range planning, and comprehensive planning and other aspects of managing a municipality. 

 

The Select Board looks forward to working with Mr. Doyle on many projects and budgetary challenges in New Gloucester.  Mr. Doyle will be starting in New Gloucester officially on Monday the 23^rd of March.
