Re: Interim Town Manager Appointment
The Municipal Officers have voted to ratify a contract with Bradley Plante of Poland to serve as Interim Town Manager. His first day was September 22, 2025. Mr. Plante previously served New Gloucester in this role in 2022. He has signed a one-year contract, with the option for extension if necessary, and will serve until a permanent Town Manager is hired.
Mr. Plante brings extensive municipal leadership experience, having served as Town Manager in Poland and Harrison, Maine; Rockland, Massachusetts; and Hampstead, Maryland. He has also served in interim management roles in Buckfield, Harrison, Sebago, and Norway, Maine. In addition, he worked as Human Resources Director for Boch Enterprises in Massachusetts.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Plante served in several positions, including Military Police Officer. He holds a master’s degree in public administration and has also served as a Select Board member and on a Budget Committee.
The Board is confident that Mr. Plante will provide strong leadership during this transition period. He will generally be in the office three days per week, with flexibility as the workload requires.
