Board of Appeals Meeting

The New Gloucester Board of Appeals meeting is holding two Public Hearings on Tuesday, December 2nd, 5pm, at the Meetinghouse:

PUBLIC HEARING #1
TOWN OF NEW GLOUCESTER
BOARD OF APPEALS

The New Gloucester Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing to consider an application submitted by Joseph Menard, property owner of 14 Gilmore Road (Map 0010, Lot 0060, Sub B), requesting a variance from the 50-foot front setback requirement in the RR District to allow the construction of a 24' x 24' detached garage to be located 44 feet from the front property line.

The hearing will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in the New Gloucester Meetinghouse, located at 389 Intervale Road.

Members of the public are invited to attend and provide comment. Copies of the application are available for inspection at the Town Office during normal business hours.

 

PUBLIC HEARING #2
TOWN OF NEW GLOUCESTER
BOARD OF APPEALS

The New Gloucester Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing to consider an application submitted by Robert Leighton, Jr., parcel owned on Swamp Road (Map 0006, Lot 0024), requesting a variance on a denied building permit for a single family dwelling. Permit was denied due to lack of lot size for Rural Residential of 2 acres, lot size is 1.84 acres.

The hearing will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in the New Gloucester Meetinghouse, located at 389 Intervale Road.

Members of the public are invited to attend and provide comment. Copies of the application are available for inspection at the Town Office during normal business hours.
