It is the goal of the Code Enforcement Officer to keep the Town and its residents safe. This can cover a range of requirements. Making sure newly constructed homes are safe for families to live in and grow. Making sure new business is both safe and accessible to the public.
Duties include permitting of any new structure in the Town of New Gloucester, inspection of buildings, septic system installations, plumbing & shoreland zoning projects. We have several helpful handouts and maps in the office. The web site has numerous pages that will assist ours citizens.
