Effective April 20, 2026, all New Gloucester Cemeteries are opened.
Reminder: If you walk your dog in the cemeteries, PLEASE pick up after the dog and keep the dog under your control.

NEW GLOUCESTER CEMETERIES SPRING OPENING AND CLEANUP
➢ The cemeteries will not be open until the spring thaw is complete.
➢ If you have placed any winter decorations on a grave that you want to keep, please remove it before May 1st to allow for spring cleanup.
REMINDERS
➢ Again, the Director’s wants to remind anyone walking a dog in the cemeteries to PLEASE pick up after the dog and keep the dog under your control.
➢ Many people visit and walk in the cemeteries. The directors are asking that visitors please abide by the New Gloucester Cemetery Association's 2026 Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines posted on this web page.
MONUMENTS
❖ Per the New Gloucester Cemetery Rules and Regulations, ALL MONUMENTS MUST receive approval from the Sexton before it can be installed in any cemetery.
